Mom Slammed For Letting Daughter, 9, Get Her Nose Pierced
“I wanted it,” said the 9-year-old.
A mom of three shocked people with her daughter’s unusual appearance – she had a nose piercing and she was just 9 years old.
Meagan Black, a 28-year-old Illinois mom, posted the video on TikTok that immediately called her out for letting her daughter get a piercing. She hit back at trolls and claim that was just her daughter wanting to “express herself” by getting a nose piercing.
Videos of her daughter’s nose piercing had people asking if Bella, the 9-year-old girl, was “on drugs”.
While there are users heavily criticizing the lax parenting that let her get a piercing on the nose, others have not seen any problem with it. The supporters argued that if she doesn’t want the piercing anymore, she can always take it out, and always remember to clean the area to prevent infection.
Megan explains that her daughter doesn’t like earrings and wanted to get a nose piercing only, with many observing that it was possibly her wanting to look like Megan who also had one. There was also “no age restriction” as long as she got “parent consent.”
Bella, who appeared in the video, immediately responded when asked if it was really her wish: “I wanted it.”

The National Conference of State Legislatures defines that parental consent allows children under 18 in Illinois to get a piercing. Regardless of whether it was legal, criticisms were still flung at the family but the mom just kept slamming back the trolls.
