Howard Stern Says Will Smith’s Chris Rock Smack Is ‘Sign Of Great Mental Illness’
Rock isn’t pressing charges.
Of the numerous that have pointed out Will Smith’s Oscar’s slap as an assault on Chris Rock, Howard Stern has chosen not to be exempted. The 68-Year-Old, who has been left disturbed by the incident, has argued that the “King Richard” actor might be suffering from mental illness.
He also argued that what fans watched on TV was “a guy who’s got real issues.”
Speaking on his SiriusXM’s Show, Howard, referring to Rock’s jab at Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head, insisted: “This is a sign of great mental illness when you can’t control your impulse. Not only that, it was hardly an insulting joke. It was not even a good joke. The joke, quite frankly, was beneath Chris Rock. It was a throwaway. You look like G.I Jane.”
Of Smith’s action, he stated: “He didn’t think twice about what he was about to do. Now that’s crazy, when you can’t contain yourself like that.”

The radio host then applauded Rock, whom he described as a gentle soul and not a fighter, for still doing his job.

“Poor Chris Rock is a comedian and just trying to get through the day to make the f***king people laugh at that horrible ceremony. [Rock is] so fast comedy-wise, he covered and made a joke and said: “Gee, best Oscars yet. He was able to comment outside of what just happened to him, and then he got flustered. He got f***ked over.”

Howard insisted Rock’s joke wasn’t even that offensive and argued it was unacceptable that no one did anything to contain the situation and just allowed Smith to continue sitting in the audience.

He got up, and he compared Jada Pinkett Smith to one of the most beautiful women in the World, Demi Moore. You don’t hit people over speech, certainly not at the Academy Awards, and Will Smith’s got to contain himself. Here’s Hollywood that’s so outraged by every little thing. Not one person got up and said, ‘Hold On,’ we got an out-of-control situation here.”

The host questioned how Smith was permitted to sit for the rest of the awards, laughing it up and having a good time with his wife, when he had assaulted Chris Rock.

Just as everyone had thought, Howard said he thought it was staged but realized the attack was just Smith acting on impulse. He recalled: “The first thing I said to my wife, ‘The f**k is going on? Is this a bit? Because, where’s security. This is a live television event. Not one person came out because he’s Will Smith.” Howard insisted it’s precisely how Donald Trump gets away with s**t and even compared both Smith and Trump as the same person.
The host further joked that Smith, 53, had got up to fight Rock, 57, because he felt bigger than the comedian.

He pointed out that if Jason Momoa made that Joke, Smith would have sat there in his seat and possibly said: “Thank you for acknowledging my wife, Mr. Momoa.” Howard also spoke of how strange Smith was not arrested for his assault & noted that the comedian reportedly isn’t pressing charges.

50-Year-Old Pinkett Smith recently shaved her head and has been open about her struggle with alopecia.
However, minutes later, after accepting the Best Actor for his role in King Richard, Smith apologized, although he didn’t mention Rock. But it was reported that both Rock and Smith had plans to make amends at the Vanity Fair after-party, which Sean “Diddy” Combs confirmed was true. The 52-Year-Old insisted it was all love, and they would remain brothers.
