Internet users have claimed Greta Thunberg is a time traveler sent back to save humanity, after stumbling on a picture of a girl who looks like her 121 years ago.
On Twitter, users were quick to share the photograph which displays three children fetching water from a well in the Yukon Territory in Canada (1898).
Standing firmly in the foreground of the photo is a young girl who appears very much alike to the 16-Year-Old Swedish Climate Change Activist.

The image, discovered in the picture archives of the University of Washington has undoubtedly sparked retweets of users’ hilarious conspiracy theories.

A user hilarious joked that the Swedish teenager had been sent to save humanity. ‘So, Greta Thunberg is in a picture from 120years ago and it’s my new favorite conspiracy. Greta’s a time traveler from the future and she’s here to save us all.’ the user tweeted.

Another added: ‘I am not one for the planned theories, but honestly, she’s 100% a time traveler.

‘Perhaps she is from the future who was sent back in time to key moments in history to fight for climate change.’ A third user commented while a fourth added: What it is, right is that, Greta is a time traveler and she has come to warn us about the future. It’s clearly the explanation.

With shreds of evidence that the photograph was on the University’s website, a user suggested that the photo might have been Photoshopped as the two faces are quite identical.
