Genius parents who redesigned the McDonald’s packaging has pranked their children into thinking they had the perfect fast food dinner in the midst of the lockdown.

As the pandemic continues to get out of hand, thousands of McDonald’s restaurants across the world are lockdown, in a despairing bid to stop the virus from spreading far and wide.

Currently, New Zealand is under alert level 4 and all fast food restaurants are closed, except for pharmacies and supermarkets.

Tanya admitted that since the lockdown they had wanted to challenge themselves and see what kind of presents they could come up with to treat their children. So thinking outside the box, the Auckland mom came up with the concept of recreating a McDonald’s meal.

‘The picture said it all. They couldn’t believe it. The kids stood looking at us and looking at it before asking ‘Where did this come from? Is this for real? How do you get this? They were impressed and had big smiles.’ Tanya explained.

She continued: ‘The kids were really excited they could have a McDonald’s experience even though they couldn’t actually have it. We just wanted to push it to ensure it appear as real as possible and indeed it came out well.’

Photos showed an accurate-looking Big Mac box, Tray Paper, McDonald’s’ Fries, Cups as well as Burger. However, it’s almost two weeks since New Zealand forced a pandemic lockdown, with hunting and swimming at the beach equally forbidden.
