‘Frozen 2’ Scores Record Number Highest-Grossing This Thanksgiving Weekend
See how Elsa freezes all others but ‘Frozen 2’.
The sequel came out 6 years after the first made its record-breaking step into the theaters, but ‘Frozen 2’ did not freeze in place. In fact, it was recorded to have scored the highest gross earning during Thanksgiving weekend after ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.
‘Frozen 2’ earned $123.7 million domestically during the five-day holiday while the previous record held by ‘The Hunger Games’ series was $109 million the same year when ‘Frozen’ came out in 2013.
Currently, ‘Frozen 2’ has made $738.6 million worldwide and it has not been 2 weeks since its release. This adds to Disney’s already record-breaking highest-grossing of the year with 5 films making more than 1 billion including ‘Avengers: Endgame’, ‘The Lion King’, and ‘Toy Story 4’.
‘Frozen 2’ is definitely going to enter the $1 billion club and the last movie to the ‘Star Wars’ saga, ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ has also been predicted to enter the club.
The plot of the movie still focuses on Elsa’s journey to finding out the voice that she’s always heard. It’s also a beautiful world that’s child-friendly with the lack of a real villain. Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff (and naturally Sven) treads into the unknown to learn about her power and her origin.
