Fans Slam Chris Pratt For ‘Problematic Post’ About Wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger
“Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me!”
After posting a seemingly problematic post about his wife, Kathrine Schwarzenegger, Chris Pratt has landed himself in trouble. The Guardians of the Galaxy star showered his partner with praise on Instagram, and while it sounded like a romantic shoutout, fans believed it smelled a problematic subtext.
Chris Pratt is facing criticism over a new Instagram post dedicated to his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The duo got married in 2019 and has a 14-month-old daughter named Lyla together.
“Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?” We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes I put in my earbuds to drown it out, but that’s love.” Chris wrote in the new post on Instagram.
In the lengthy post, Pratt encouraged his followers to “find someone” who would look at them like Schwarzenegger was looking at him in the photo.
He shared some things he is grateful to his wife for, including giving him a “gorgeous healthy daughter.”
He added: “She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade. Her heart is pure, and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure –right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie Card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot.” The post concluded with: “It’s her birthday in about 6weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on the post. Love you, honey.”
He added: “She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade.”
Some internet users, including Katherine and her family, found the post to be appealing. But many people pointed out how he referred to his gorgeous healthy daughter and how that might be hurtful to his ex-wife Anna Faris and the son they share. His son, Jack, was born premature and had a cerebral hemorrhage, which resulted in slight vision and leg muscle tissues.
The father-of-two, who also shares son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris, also described his current wife as his “greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie Card.”
Other fans took issue with how he described all the things his wife Katherine does for him, and he appeared to poke fun at how they aren’t reciprocated. However, Chris got married to Katherine in 2019, about a year after they started dating. In late 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Lyla Maria.
Pratt ended the post saying it is Schwarzenegger’s birthday in 6weeks, and if he doesn’t get her anything, he will tell her to “look back on this post.”
Katherine and her family have since found the post to be attractive.
But internet users found issues with the sentiment about his daughter with Katherine.
