Employee Takes Savage Revenge On Boss Who Took His Vacation Days Away
Now they’ll learn better not to mess with employees’ rights.
Employers and owners have all the right to change working policies as they see fit. And employees have the right to accept those changes or quit, but things aren’t always that fair. Hence, when an employee finds his new owners change the vacation policy as they see fit without respecting their well-being, he decides to take matters into their own hands.
“Get rid of my vacation? Have fun replacing me.”
Reddit user Rusticwhiskey had decided to share the story of a certain man named “Jimmy.” We don’t know if Jimmy is a fake name. But our author explained that he worked there for four years and still has one more immediate family who’s still with the company. We also know that Jimmy does not like how the new management does things.
The employer cut down their vacation days and was trying to do away with the old employees, including Jimmy, who’s worked for more than 40 years, and his backup. “Jimmy made an electronic control module that was sealed and stayed fixed in a poured unit made of a two-part epoxy,” the employee explained.
The rule changed, but it’s not all loss for the workers if they know how to use them!
Jimmy has the hunch and experience of an experienced worker, and he knew what’s up. His revenge was simple – if the company was not going to respect him, then he wasn’t about to show them the same. He took his vacation days and took off without telling them.
Jimmy’s malicious compliance ended up as an act of successful revenge.
By the end of his holidays, the company was scrambling trying to find him and get him to work with them again. But Jimmy did not care and that caused them to shell out for a 7-figure contract to produce the patented parts.
It’s really sad to see how this sort of situations isn’t actually rare to come by. New management ruining a perfectly fine company to gain more profit, disrespecting elder, experienced workers and looking down on their capabilities.
