Elon Musk Slammed Rumors Of Affair With Wife of Google Co-Founder As ‘Total BS’
“This is total BS.”
A Wall Street Journal had alleged Elon Musk slept with Sergey Brin’s wife Nicole Shanahan in 2021, which triggered the end of their marriage and ruined his friendship with Brin. To disprove the claim, the Space X Fonder has recently shared a fun-loving photograph of him partying with the Google founder.
Musk also tweeted he believes the Journal is running hit pieces against him to undermine Tesla stock.
The photo given to The New York Post showed Musk and Brin partying outdoors with two unidentified women. It’s unknown where exactly it was taken, but the world’s richest man had been last seen in Mykonos, but his jet reportedly flew from Austin, where he lives to San Jose. It eventually returned to Austin, landing at 11 p.m.
“Total BS,” Musk said of the report and added jokingly he hadn’t had s*x months.
He said of the article: “Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic. The character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year, but the articles are all nothing-burgers. I work crazy hours, so there isn’t much time for shenanigans. None of the key people involved in these alleged wrongdoings were even interviewed!”
Musk urged his followers to call out the press.
“WSJ is supposed to have a high standard for journalism and, right now, they are way sub tabloid. WSJ should be running stories that actually matter to their readers and have a solid factual basis, not third-party random hearsay.” In January, Brin – the eighth richest man in the world, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason, but the Wall Street Journal reported it was Musk’s dalliance with Nicole that signaled the end of their marriage.
Journal sources alleged the couple was already having marital problems because of the stress of COVID-19 and arguing over the care of their daughter, aged 4.
It was cited that Nicole seeks $1billion in their divorce, a fraction of her husband’s $95billion wealth but more than he says she’s entitled to under the conditions of their prenuptial agreement. She’s also arguing he forced her to sign the prenup under duress while pregnant. However, Musk’s romance scandal comes amid his battle with Twitter, harming the company’s bottom line and the future of social media.
The drama led to Twitter missing expectations with a revenue of $1.18billion. The company blamed it on how Musk disrupted business with his hostile bid to take over and then made a u-turn. Analyst Jasmine Enberg said: “Twitter is on a rowboat in the middle of a storm. The Musk saga rocked the boat even harder. Twitter is now in the unenviable position of convincing advertisers that its ad business is solid.”
