Elliot Page Fans Want Him To Play A Disney Prince, Like Being Prince Eric For ‘The Little Mermaid’
After a superhero, people wants him as a prince this time.
Fans can’t help themselves – Twitter cast always amaze us. Disney’s remake of ‘The Little Mermaid‘ has got fans and children excited for the movie to come out. Halle Bailey’s performance and the CGI of the underwater kingdom were pretty stunning, albeit it is still in progress. But in the wake of backlash against Disney’s choice of Ariel, Elliot Page’s name has been on the rise.
The trailer showcased her voice as she sang a short line from “Part of Your World” in the teaser trailer.
And with that, people couldn’t help but consider the possibility of Elliot Page being Prince Eric for the live-action.
And when we say the internet is raving about it, we mean it.
A user showed Prince Eric and three still shots of Elliot Page under as a comparison to see how much he resembles the Disney character. And the consensus was positive! The tweet has gained over 230.5k likes now, with many throwing other names for suggestions.
Well, this is but wistful thinking since the movie has finished filming with Jonah Hauer-King playing the role.
But it’s pretty obvious that this won’t be Disney’s last live-action remake of their classic children’s stories. Who’s to say that we won’t be seeing Elliot Page as another Disney Prince? And there’s the fact that it might not even be the last remake of ‘The Little Mermaid,’ so fingers crossed!
In the meanwhile, fans can catch up to ‘Umbrella Academy’ latest season on Netflix, where Elliot Page plays one of the gifted children, Viktor (previously Vanya).
