The pair adopted a ten-year-old Ziggy from a London Shelter three years ago. At first, Ziggy was reported shy but soon after started demanding their affection.

‘When she bonds with someone, it can really get intense. She loves sitting on people. Ziggy is almost on you even before you sit down. She will see you are near the sofa, and then her eyes go black and ears go flat, meaning you are the target. Once you are sitting, be sure she’s there.’ Rebecca explained.

Ziggy’s clingy attitude became evident after Rebecca, a freelance marketing consultant and Alex, a retouch artist started working from home. The kitten’s behavior became problematic as she would climb on her owner’s laptop and desks, blocking them from working while also interrupting calls and clawing headset cords.

Rebecca admitted she and Alex tried to ignore her but insisting Ziggy would sit behind and yell till she gets the attention. Despite placing a cat bed behind her work desk in a bid to impress the feline, Rebecca’s strategy, however, failed.

Presently, the needy kitten has embraced the ‘Fake Lap’ option, allowing her owners to work peacefully.
