Camila Cabello Hits Back At ‘Rude’ Fans Who Sang Loud At Champions League Show
“Very rude but whatever.”
The ‘Havana’ hit singer made a clap back at football teams who sang their anthem during her performance. Camila Cabello’s performance was the opening show for the Champions League final that was taking place at the Stade de France in Paris.
But the singer received booing as well as cheering after fans couldn’t get enter in time due to ticketing issues.
Security guards were reportedly “overwhelmed” by the situation and some Liverpool fans had even jumped through the fence to enter the game. The UEFA blamed fake tickets for the chaos that took place, causing over 36 minutes of delay to the match.
Unfortunately, fans unleashed their annoyance at the singer, who had her appearance delayed by the UEFA.
Users went to social media to rant about the involvement of an entertainer that furthered the delay of the game. One tweeted, “Don’t ever let anyone perform before a Champions League Finale ever again. Thank f**k everyone mutually agreed in the stadium by booing Camila Cabello.”
Camilla went on Twitter to hit back at teams who were singing their anthem “so loud” during her performance.
She slammed them for being “very rude” before the two tweets were later deleted.
A user who saw it told her that “people went to watch football, not Superbowl.”
“This Camila person’s complaint is misguided,” commented another. “This is like a member of a marching band (who play during halftime shows at American college football games) complaining about the fact that most of the audience could care less about their performance. No one’s there to see YOU.”
Another tweeted, “We were discussing this while we waited for the football to start. No need for artists to sing before the footie.”
Writer Richard Osman also chimed in, “This is about as welcome as a game of 5-a-side would be before a Camila Cabello gig.”
Fans were reportedly sprayed with tear gas outside the stadium while they were queuing by the police and a formal investigation has been requested.
Liverpool, who lost to Real Madrid, has also issued a statement, “We are hugely disappointed at the stadium entry issues and breakdown of the security perimeter that Liverpool fans faced this evening at Stade de France.”
“This is the greatest match in European football and supporters should not have to experience the scenes we have witnessed tonight. We have officially requested a formal investigation into the causes of these unacceptable issues.”
