BTS Fans Inspired To Donate Refunded Concert Tickets To Coronavirus Cause
BTS members themselves have donated to the cause.
Due to the covid-19 outbreak in South Korea, several major labels in the country have announced the cancellation of concerts that are planned to held in South Korea. Particularly BTS who has refunded the ticket of their fans. The concert was planned to be held in April.
It was unfortunate news for both BTS and their fans, but there was a silver lining to it. BTS member Suga has reportedly donated 100m Korean won or about $83,000 for the cause of covid-19. Inspired by this movement, many of the fanbase, ARMY, has decided to do the same with the refund money.
As proof, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association is seeing a rise in donations ever since the BTS concert was canceled. Several fans did not forget to include that they are donating in the name of ARMY. This is also the same organization that ‘Parasite’ director, Bong Joon-ho, supported.
Jin from BTS also left an uplifting messaged, “These days, many people are worried due to the coronavirus. But it would be good if we could overcome it well by gathering together in strength!”
