Brit Dad Who Dumped His Partner Of 10 Years For Ukrainian Refugee, 22, SPLITS From Her
The Ukrainian fell for the Brit dad, and they moved out together to start a new life.
Tony Garnett has claimed he has thrown out Sofiia Karkadym, accusing her of being unable to handle alcohol and using a knife to stab a wall at their rented home. The split comes just months after the 30-Year-Old Brit dad started a relationship with the refugee, dumping his partner of ten years and mother of his two children, Lorna.
The security guard also accused Sofiia of interfering with his relationship with his two daughters but insisted he would always put them first.
“I can’t take her abuse or anger any longer. I left Lorna and my two children for her, and I made every extra effort I could to help her keep us together. I worked so hard to make this relationship work. I knew that we would look like tw*ts if we broke up because we have a media profile and all the attention that has been put on us on television and on the internet,” Tony told DailyMail.
He claimed that matters came to a head while celebrating his 30th birthday at their home in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
“On Saturday night, she picked up a knife and stabbed the wall [pictured below] several times. It scared me, and I had no choice but to call the police. That doesn’t make me happy at all. But I was worried about my safety,” Tony explained, adding that he had genuinely felt sorry for Sofiia, especially as he had left her home and her country, which was at war, and knew nobody here.
“I thought I was in love with her. But there is a side to her that I just cannot put up with any longer. She gets angry and aggressive.”
Tony [pictured with Sofiia’s belongings in black bin liners below] confirmed his relationship with Lorna was already over, and he was heartbroken about it. “I have made a mistake going into a relationship with Sofiia. But this wasn’t the right thing for me. I have tried to help her. I really have. I haven’t abandoned her and have even been messaging her mother to get her to help with the aid of Google Translate.”
The Britain dad added that Sofiia might be suffering from PTSD, stating she sent him messages that she loved him and begging for a reconciliation.
“I hope that she finds somewhere safe to live and is in a happier place. But she’s not for me.” Tony has strongly insisted he doesn’t want Sofiia back as he had already given her chance after chance. However, the dad-of-two and his former partner Lorna had taken in Sofiia after applying to be part of the Government’s refugee scheme because they wanted to help people from Ukraine.
But Tony has eventually claimed: “I am 100 percent through with her. We are finished as a couple.”
