Bouncer, 19, Reveals He’s Groped By Women Up To 10 Times A Night At Work

Charlie Jeer doesn’t want to be seen as a victim but intends to highlight what he and countless others experience in the bouncer industry. The 19-Year-Old from Canterbury claims he’s regularly touched inappropriately on the bum, genitals and even had women try to unzip his clothing while at work at a local club [undisclosed].

In a series of TikTok clips, the economic student from Canterbury recounted experiences he’s encountered. “So many guys and girls get sexually assaulted working the doors, and I don’t think it gets spoken about at all. I was told, going into the industry, that this might happen, but I had no idea it would be so regular.” Jeer, who works on security, said.
The 19-Year-Old doesn’t consider himself a ‘victim’ but wants to bring awareness to male harassment.

He has been doing security for the last year, and in that time, Jeer experienced countless occasions when women came up to him and attempted to unzip his clothes or grab him sexually. He added: “I don’t feel like a victim because, in working security, you do have some kind of control over the situation. You have people working with you, there are cameras on you.”

“If a woman’s grabbing me, I feel strong enough to get her off me, which makes me feel like less of a victim. But at the same time, the touching is unwanted.” One unpleasant incident highlighted was when Jeer, when he worked at an event in Norwich, was grabbed on the bum three times by a woman. The woman had even declared, “who cares about sexual assault? Before being marched out of doors.
“If a woman’s grabbing me, I feel strong enough to get her off me, which makes me feel like less of a victim.”
“If she thinks that, how many other women are thinking, ‘who cares about male sexual assault? How many people, in general, are thinking, “who cares about sexual assaults on nights out?” To make it worse, she snuck back in, and she looked at me with a smug look on her face. She got removed again, but it frustrated me that she had the nerve to come back in after that situation.”
“Who cares about sexual assault anyway?” one woman, had said after she touched him three times.

“It’s the fact that people will go and forget the morals that they practice in day-to-day life. For people to forget about these values and act this way is just not right. Working in this industry, you can go around and have a laugh with people, but there is a boundary that can be overstepped,” Jeer stated, while he also urged revelers to think twice about how they behave on nights out.
So far, he has received mostly positive feedback but a minority have been less than supportive.
Despite the negative experience, Jeer reveals he enjoys his work and feels it provides many good opportunities. On the other hand, his videos have since racked millions of views, and in the comments, most supported him for speaking out while some blokes joked: “Why does this never happen to me? One person wrote: “Normalize guys peaking up! Well done for sharing your story.” Another said: “Good for you. No one has the right to touch anyone without their consent.
Regardless, Jeer urged revelers to think twice about how they behave on nights out.
