Billie Eilish Is Singing For The Next James Bond Movie And She’d Be The Youngest Ever
She’d be singing James Bond’s 25th film theme.
Billie Eilish has been chosen as the next singer and composer for James Bond’s 25th movie. It’s titled ‘No Time To Die’ and has brought the 18-year-old singer another amazing feat in her singing career. She’d be the youngest singer who joins the likes of Paul McCartney, Gladys Knight, Tom Jones, Duran Duran and Adele who’ve also sung for James Bond.
Speaking of her opportunity to be part of the movie, she said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
She also works with Hans Zimmer, who composes the soundtracks. Her brother who writes the music with her commented on Instagram, “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema in my opinion. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise.”
James Bond’s theme singers have always been those who can capture somberness perfectly. Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ and Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ whose voice had powers, yet, sounded frail at times.
The new James Bond will star Daniel Craig as the next 007 agent and arrived in theaters in April.
