‘Better Call Saul’ Walks Away With 0 Wins At Emmys For The 46th Time
The point remains that Better Call Saul is deserving of Emmys love.
Another Emmy Awards, another year ‘Better Call Saul’ gets snubbed despite receiving seven nominations. The cast, creators, and team have again walked away empty-handed with 0 wins at the 74th Primetime Emmys. Since the prequel premiered in February 2015, it has received an impressive 45 nominations across categories.
Yet despite its stellar performances and unwavering praise, the show hasn’t taken home a single Emmy.
What makes Better Call Saul so remarkable is its supporting actors, including Patrick Fabian, Michael McKean, and Jonathan Banks, among others, are such forces. But none is more deserving of an Emmy than Rhea Seehorn, who played the character, attorney Kim Wexler. She was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Better Call Saul was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, but ‘Succession’ took the award.
Accordingly, Bob Odenkirk was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor. The immensely-talented actor gave a layered, complex, and career-great performance throughout the series. He has had fans recalling his heart attack while filming the show’s sixth and final season. FYI, Better Call Saul is an American crime and legal drama series by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.
The show is a spin-off, prequel, and sequel to Gilligan’s previous series, Breaking Bad.
The series follows Jimmy McGill, a struggling lawyer whose search for success in what he does best will eventually turn him into the criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Last month, Better Call Saul ended its six-season run, and Gilligan has reportedly confirmed that he will not be revisiting the world of Breaking Bad again in the foreseeable future.
