Ashton Kutcher Supports Wife Mila Kunis’ Homeland Ukraine

“My parents had given up good jobs and degrees.”

Since the beginning of the invasion, millions of people have sounded their protest against Russia’s attacks. With each passing day, more people die and lose their homes, but with millions more showing support and doing all they can to lift the burden.

Among those who’ve shown where they stand in this conflict is actor Ashton Kutcher.

A simple statement that strongly shows what his thoughts are on the invasion. But some people might not realize that Ashton’s wife, Mila Kunis, is from a Jewish family who fled Soviet Ukraine back in 1991. She was 7 when she entered the United States as a refugee.

Mila with CNN that she adapted to her new life in the states pretty quickly, except for one odd thing.

“Ultimately, I adjusted fairly quickly and fairly well, but it must have been hard because I blocked out second grade completely,” shared the actress.

“It was because I cried every day. I didn’t understand the culture. I didn’t understand the people. I didn’t understand the language. My first sentence of my essay to get into college was like, ‘Imagine being blind and deaf at age seven.’ And that’s kind of what it felt like moving to the States,” she later told The Los Angeles Times in 2008.

But these are things she got from asking her parents and grandparents about her childhood times.

“My parents had given up good jobs and degrees, which were not transferable. We arrived in New York on a Wednesday, and by Friday morning, my brother and I were at school in LA.”
