Back in the days, the seas were clear. Only wooden ships would cross and very rarely, massive floating wood carrying hundreds of people. Mermaids in the past must be having it nice with so little trash thrown into the seas. Even if humans do throw them, they’ll dissolve in time and won’t hurt anybody.

But the seas today are barely habitable. Even so, this modern mermaid loves spending time with humans. A beautiful, wholesome story about the daily life of a mermaid living in modern times with two boys who try to change the world, one plastic bag at a time.
