American Woman Hysterical At The Hospital In Japan For Fear She Can’t Afford It, Ends Up Paying Only $33
It should be people’s rights to stay healthy.
The healthcare system in America NEEDS to be fixed ASAP. It’s a no-brainer that people only visit the doctor when they’re so sick to the point they can’t move. You’ve probably heard of numerous ‘horror’ stories from Americans who declared bankrupt and became homeless from medical bills.
Yet, in other countries, people visit doctors when they need to without having to fear for the insane amount of bills. Twitter user Kyle McLain shared one such story when his client cried in fear of the medical bills in Tokyo, the most expensive city in Japan.
Imagine how relieved was this American woman to realize she only had to pay $33 in literally the most expensive city of Japan and for some, in the world.

Came in Necrosoft Games director, Brandon Sheffield, who shared his experience in healthcare as well.

They’re even thinking for him!

It was $130 without insurance and close to $65 with it. Imagine THAT.

In Japan, the first consultation fee is generally more expensive and then the patient will have to pay only follow-ups fees. The Healthcare Info in Japan advises visitors to bring up to $100 on the first visit and this was made possible thanks to the subsidy by the government that covers 70% of the cost!
With $3000, Brandon could get his tooth fixed and more in Japan.

And the medical care doesn’t try to charge you on ridiculous stuff. Not even on specially opening the clinic early for him!

People are obviously jealous of the healthcare system that exists everywhere else.

And here’s a vice-versa story from another user.

More people share their positive healthcare experience elsewhere.

This person shared what many Americans fear: almost $15k for a 45-minute procedure and 4 days in the hospital.

Props to Japan for making staying healthy an actual priority for everyone.

People share their grim stories on medical care in America and their opinions.
