Amber Heard Recalls ‘Love For Johnny’ Before Upcoming $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit
“I have always maintained a love for Johnny.”
We’re less than 48 hours away from the couple’s defamation lawsuit that puts $50 million at stake. Johnny Depp had accused Washington Post after an op-ed penned by Amber Heard herself labeled the man as an abuser. The actor has lost multiple major roles to a libel case with The Sun where he was labeled a “wife beater”.
Just two days before the hearing that will be held in Fairfax, Va. court, Heard wrote on her social media that she “always maintained a love for Johnny”.
She wrote in her piece’s headline, “I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.”
“I never named him, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking against men in power,” the article continued. “I continue to pay that price, but hopefully when this case concludes, I can move on and so can Johnny.”
“I have always maintained a love for Johnny and it brings me great pain to have to live out the details of our past life together in front of the world.”
“At this time, I recognize the ongoing support I’ve been fortunate to receive throughout these years, and in these coming weeks I will be leaning on it more than ever,” the post ended.
The upcoming lawsuit would be inviting several stars who’ve been romantically involved with the actress from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, actor James Franco, as well as “WandaVision” star Paul Bettany and Ellen Barkin.
They are to testify for Heard’s behavior while her lawyers would be focusing on their accusation of his abuse.
