‘We went up to the business class check-in counter. On reaching there, the member of staff on the desk looked at us and said ‘We are sorry, but you can’t. A staff member then later came forward and began saying: ‘No, you’re too big, too big.’ Mrs. Iripa told NZ Herald.

She continued: ‘I have never felt discriminated because of my size. This experience left me entirely shocked.’

On meeting with Thai Airways Officials who later on compensated them with $450, Mrs. Iripa further said it wasn’t enough to heal/forget the trauma and disrespect.
