Bhad Bhabie plans to create a $1.7million scholarship, which will provide postgraduate entrepreneurial grants and full scholarships.
Florida rapper Bhad Bhabie has said she aims to help young hustlers start their businesses. The 19-Year-Old, whose real name is Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli made the intention known as she spoke about abuse, her career, and her rise to fame at Oxford University on 2nd November, which saw students queuing for hours to hear her words of wisdom.
Bhabie also spoke about her partnership with the Educapital Foundation to create a $1.7million scholarship.
The partnership is aimed to provide postgraduate entrepreneurial grants and full scholarships to students. “While developing this scholarship programme, it was great collaborating with Educapital’s Aisha Rodriguez and Dr. Brenita Mitchell, both amazing women giving amazing opportunities to the next generation of entrepreneurs,” Bhabie said.
The skilled businesswoman added that they didn’t just want to give out tuition funds but also help the grads with startup capital to launch their businesses.
“I can’t wait to see what these young hustlers do,” Bhabie stated. Reportedly, recipients of the Bhad Scholarship will get $1,000 to earmark toward their trade school education, with 50 getting $10,000 in capital to begin their businesses. The entrepreneur, who has heavily invested in the US real estate market and has boasted about having more money than her family will also select graduates to get full scholarships from a fund of $200,000.
The young sensation is the latest among those who have been speakers at the institution, including former presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and Richard Nixon, & Jimmy Carter.
The prestigious institution has also witnessed dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II, Mother Teresa, and the Dalai Lama. Accordingly, it has seen historical figures Albert Einstein, Malcolm X, and entertainment icons Sir Elton John and Billy Joel. Bhabie rose to fame after she appeared on Season 15, Episode eight of the chat show Dr. Phil. She went viral for the phrase ‘Cash me outside.’
In April, the reality TV star created an OnlyFans account and in just her first six hours on the site, she netted $1 million, going on to make $50 million in her first year.
Bhabie holds the title of the youngest female rapper to earn a place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her debut single ‘These Heaux.” She had embarked on her music journey with the help of American artists Lil Yachty and Kodak Black. During her teen years, Bhabie spent months at Turn-About Ranch, a mental health service in Utah where she claimed she was abused.
Even after all her success, the TV star, known for quips on live TV claimed her parents still see her as a disappointment.
However, Bhabie’s speech at the Oxford Union comes just a day before political activist Malala Yousafzai gave a talk in the same spot. It isn’t the first time the rapper has dipped her toe into the pool of higher education and according to Dr. Brenita of the Educapital Foundation, the Bhad scholarship will remove financial barriers for students and will help students spend more time focusing on their studies while helping them to achieve their lifelong dreams.
