Kanye West Shocked People With ‘White Lives Matter’ T-Shirt At Surprise Yeezy Fashion Show
Owens was remembered to have called his ex a “prostitute.”
Kanye West shocked fans and attendants when he made a statement with his new T-shirt collection. At his surprise Yeezy fashion show in Paris, people couldn’t believe they read “White Lives Matter” on his black shirt, a similar phrase embedded on a white T-shirt Candace Owens wore.
This feels like a parody of the “Black Lives Matter” movement, which began in 2013 after the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
The 43-year-old hasn’t yet clearly communicated what he meant with this controversial statement, but the shirts have gone viral on the internet with people either for or shunned the black rapper for his choice of design. He’s also grown closer to right-wing figures, notably with former President Donald Trump and wore ‘Make America Great Again’ hat in public.
International outrage emerge from several figures who found the T-shirt offensive, despite some of them trying to view this from a dystopian POV.
Kanye also spoke about his support for the former President, Donald Trump, “Racism isn’t the deal-breaker for me. If that was the case, I wouldn’t live in America.”
He wore a Confederate flag on his clothing back in 2013, sparking controversies over his political stance.
He’s also praised Candace Owens before when he tweeted that he “love the way” she thinks in 2018.
Their friendship seems to remain strong despite Owens recently labeling Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s ex, as a “prostitute” in Daily Wire show. Kanye has publicly expressed his wish to see his family one again and wanting to get back with Kim.
West appeared before the crown with this controversial T-shirt and spoke about his ex-wife’s experience of being robbed at gunpoint in 2016, Page Six reported. He also talked about his collaboration fallout with GAP where he shared that his voice was not being heard by the big brand.
His daughter, North West, was also spotted at the event, while Kim was nowhere to be found. Kim had been sharing snaps of her with her daughter in Paris as they’ve been known to be attending the Paris Fashion Week.
Marc Lamont Hill called it a “disgusting” move.

Jemele Hill went on a Twitter rant explaining how his attempted to be a troll is really “dumb” and shouldn’t be supported.
Jaden Smith was also spotted attending the show in a futuristic ensemble. He tweeted that he “had to dip” and “don’t care who it is, if I don’t feel the message, I’m out.”
The front side of the shirt appeared to be a collage of pictures of Pope John Paul II with the word ‘Juan Pablo II’ in Spanish on the bottom.
Among those who modelled for his newest collection were Naomi Campbell and Amelia Hamlin. But those were the only two names present from the women of the pictures which he shared on his social media page for reasons unknown.
He spoke of how GAP had failed to fulfill his dream to become the affordable brand in a recent interview with Vogue Business before the fashion show after his online outrage.
“Our point, our idea, is that there is no one who is not welcome at YZY, at Donda,” said the business owner. “And that’s why I went to Gap. And why I brought Demna [Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s creative director] with me. To say ‘OK, Demna’s cut is at the top of what Paris has to offer. And Paris is at the top of what fashion has to offer. So let’s bring Paris to the people.'”
The T-shirts were eventually sold at $200 and he recalled how he went to Paris in 2009 with Virgil Abloh and friends where “there were certain shows we couldn’t get into.”
He lashed out at GAP and Adidas, both of which failed to provide him with a brick-and-mortar shop for their ventures. Determined to create an affordable fashion brand that’s available everywhere, he opened an invitation for collaboration with others.
“I’ll buy the land and or building. Then we gonna open up in every state and then internationally. Anyone who has over 10 years retail experience and is ready to change the world post your Instagram handle or store location in the comments and we’ll find you.”
