Jennifer Garner Is Excited To ‘Get Rid Of Her Fourth Child’ After Ben Affleck’s Marriage
The couple has three children together.
Jennifer Garner has been very positive about Ben Affleck’s new relationship. In fact, the former wife to the actor has been supportive – too supportive, one might say – about the whole thing.
The couple split up after 12 years of marriage back in 2017, with Ben going back to his old flame, Jennifer Lopez.
Some people might still remember how Garner used to drive him to rehab in August 2018, a year after their split, to help him deal with his alcohol addiction. She staged an intervention and gained supportive voices from fans. But she wasn’t seen anywhere at the wedding reception of Ben and Lopez.
The 50-year-old married his 53-year-old girlfriend last Saturday and held a lavish ceremony after their first private ceremony in Las Vegas in July.
A source close to the two people gave a snide, “I’m sure she’s thrilled to get rid of her fourth child.”
The couple shared three children during their decade-long marriage, the oldest being 16 and the youngest 10 years old. All of them were present at their Las Vegas ceremony, and it wasn’t clear if Garner was even invited to the event.
She was spotted having fun at a club in South Charleston just hours before their last week’s wedding with her dad and new boyfriend, John Miller.
Another insider spoke that even though they’re with their respective partners now, they cannot completely cut each other off.
“Jen has always approached things the same, no matter who Ben has been with. They have kids together — so if he has another episode or falls off the wagon, it would be her problem.”
They continued, “Jen is a great mother; she has really mothered those kids — and it’s great that she doesn’t have to have a fourth child anymore.”
Friends of Garner had also defended Garner when Affleck made a comment about how she caused his drinking addiction to worsen. The friend spoke, “Anyone who knows addict behavior knows how untrue those comments could be for any addict, but particularly Ben. It’s one of the first tenets of AA not to place blame for your disease.”
“I know that Jen will always care for Ben. All she’s ever done is be there for Ben. They have three kids together, and she loved him with all her heart. I’m sure she would want him to be happy, but she has her own life and her own boyfriend.”
A reliable source told Page Six that Jen was informed about the wedding last week, and it was her ex-husband who told her directly.
The source, however, continued, I’m told that it was only [the day before] at the earliest. It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur-of-the-moment. Violet (their eldest) stayed home because she’s extremely loyal to her mom.”
