Mom Asks Her Son To Bring Some Fresh Underwear But Was Left Stunned At What He Turned Up With

Hospital gowns have an uncomfortable slit that runs up to the back, so to keep her diffidence covered, a mom in hospital urgently requested for some new pants to be brought to her from home. The woman’s eldest son offered to help and indeed brought in a bag of underwear. 

There was a fail, though! Her son had no idea which of her knickers would be appropriate, so he opted for what his instinct told him. As a result, the mom was left embarrassed when she pulled out the knickers he had chosen: sexy Brazilian cut knickers covered in lace.

A mom got uncomfortable wearing a hospital gown with slits, so she asked for new knickers from home.

The mom was equally left red-faced, especially as she had wanted her lovely comfy Bridget Jones’s. She explained to her son why the knickers he selected weren’t suitable and why women opt to wear ‘stupid knickers most at times. Thankfully, a quick text to her sister and a best friend eventually saved the day from going worse. 

“So I am in hospital wearing a hospital gown (slit up back) and have run out of underwear after being here a week, no visitors allowed, but things can be dropped at reception. My oldest son wants to be helpful and says, don’t worry, mum, I bring you your bits. I open the bag to find Victoria’s Secrets’ finest black lace, red and black lace, and turquoise Brazilian diamonté. Not my lovely comfy Bridget Jones’s (sic).” The mom wrote in a Facebook post shared in the group Family Lockdown Tips And Ideas.

The woman’s son offered to help, but he turned up with (this photo) left her mortified.

She continued: “Queue hilarious conversation about types of women’s knickers and grading of knickers comfort-wise and why women wear stupid knickers sometimes. Something boys obviously know nothing about (boxers, boxers, more boxers), embarrassment all around, and a quick text to sister and best friend to save me from my stupid knicker purchases! (Sic).”

The mom went on to ask other moms in the group, “What’s your most inappropriate hospital attire? People reacted to the post without hesitation, and it has since garnered hundreds of comments, including hilarious personal experiences. One person wrote: “OMG, my boyfriend once brought me thongs when I asked for more underwear after giving birth.” 

The mom, with a sense of humor, asked other moms: “What’s your most inappropriate hospital attire?

A woman shared: “My friend was in the hospital after giving birth; next to her bed, there was a woman who asked her husband to bring something warm to wear. From all the warm items she had, her husband brought her the ski suit.”

A third also shared an experience, saying: “My hubby used to go commando all the time, didn’t own underpants/boxers. Until he had a severe motorbike accident three years ago (he’s OK now, thankfully), well at the side of a very busy motorway in morning rush hour traffic, his leathers and jeans had to be off at the side of the road. He was in and out of consciousness, so he didn’t think to warn the emergency services. Safe to say he has worn them ever since.”
