A Yard Keeper’s life was changed after Roman Filippov, a Fashion photographer, gave him an incredible GQ-esque photoshoot.

The Yard Keeper, identified as Yury Vetlugin, and Roman are good friends since meeting at a summer camp for children with disabilities as kids (Roman’s mom had worked in the camp). Yury has now gone viral, a big thanks to the shared photos and his turbulent life story.

42-Year-Old Yury from Ufa, Russia, has had a challenging life. As a newborn, he had been left on the doorsteps of an orphanage, where he was diagnosed with a developmental disorder. Roman’s mother and grandma looked after Yury for years, sheltered him at their house, and later assisted him in getting state-guaranteed housing.

A few years back, Yury was taken advantage of by his friends

A few years back, Yury is said to be have been taken advantage of by his friends. He was tricked of roughly $9330 worth of loans under his name for a house purchase. Yury couldn’t pay back, so he lost everything, including his salary and pension. The group equally took him to the house situated in a remote village, and soon, he was turned into a slave.

Working as an unpaid house worker, Yury, according to Bored Panda, got enough food barely to survive on and lost about 33 pounds. The group of friends reportedly beat him and at one time nearly killed him with an ax. Eventually, Yury flew for his life and returned to Roman’s family in Ufa, which took him in again.

Since Yury returned, Roman seized the opportunity to take photos of his everyday life in a bid to show how beautiful the yard-keeper is both inside and out. From there, the concept for a fundraiser to pay his crippling debt emerged, and luckily people couldn’t just resist. Yury is flooded with donations, and even the mayor of Ufa has now scheduled a meeting with him. However, Roman hopes his friend’s fraudsters be brought to justice. 

Since Yury returned, Roman seized the opportunity to take photos of his everyday life.
