Fines have been issued to relatives of the ex-one direction star!
Ex-One Director Member Zayn Malik wasn’t present at his big family event, which happened on Dec. 12. Waliyha Malik, one of Zayn’s sisters, got married to her ex-convict beau – Junaid Khan in Bradford, England. The singer was nowhere to be found, and more, unfortunately, the 40-guest wedding got halted over the breach of COVID regulations.
22-Year-Old Waliyha and 24-Year-Old Junaid got married in a traditional Islamic ceremony but was interrupted by the police over the breach of COVID regulations
With her brother’s absence, including being issued fines, you can imagine how Waliyha would have felt on her special day. 22-Year-Old Waliyha and 24-Year-Old Junaid married in a traditional Islamic ceremony in a marquee placed at the home of Zayn’s sisters, Saffa’s back garden, which was followed by a reception.
Police stormed the premises at 6 p.m. after being called by neighbors. The West Yorkshire police confirmed that several other people were equally issued with fixed penalty notices as a breach of coronavirus restrictions was committed. Saffa Malik’s home is located just 100 meters from their parents’ lives, but reportedly, their father, identified as Yaser, refused to join the occasion due to Junaid’s criminal records.
For 27-Year-Old Zayn, it’s assumed the singer wasn’t able to attend because of work commitments, and interestingly, his girlfriend Gigi Hadid did send Waliyha a message that reads: ‘Wished I was there.’ Mother Tricia Malik singlehandedly took care of all the arrangements, while Husband Yaser refused to get involved because of his opposition. Tricia had accompanied Waliyha from the family home to her sister’s house for the special event, but Yaser remained closed doors.
‘It all started around 10 a.m., and there were a lot of people there. I put out six tables, organized the stage and also two larger tables for the catering. There wasn’t loud music, but it was quite a lively event. Everything was going well throughout the day, and then in the early evening, the police arrived. They spoke with Tricia and warned that the wedding was breaking COVID laws and told her that it needed to end and everyone had to go home.’ Latif Yasin, who runs Flawless, a wedding and events company based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, reportedly explained.
Yasin added: ‘I don’t know the exact details, but I was told Tricia and some other relatives who organized the wedding were fined. The police warned everybody that they had to return, they would issue bigger fines, and they could be arrested. But there wasn’t any problem after that because everybody just went home.’
Tricia has refused to comment about the wedding being brought to an unexpected end by the police and Yasser’s disagreement with the marriage. However, the city is presently in Tier 3, where wedding ceremonies can occur with up to 15 people, but wedding receptions weren’t permitted.
On the other hand, Junaid in 2017 was jailed for 5yeas for a carjacking incident, while in 2014, he was sentenced to 15months in a young offender’s institution and suspended for two years for his involvement in a family dispute which resulted in the stab of a relative.
