9 Celebs Who Have Been Seen Carrying Pricey Hermes Birkin Bags

The latest owner of the Hermes Birkin handbag is Kylie Jenner. The recently-turned 25-Year-Old was gifted a rare $100K Hermes Birkin for her birthday, which has added to the large collection of her expensive purses. Although, she’s had Hermes handbags, including one worth $480,000. 

Notably, the fashion accessory is nearly impossible to get hands-on as the purses are only offered to a select few.

They’re sold at Hermes’ stores or on its website; instead, customers have to put their names down on a waiting list and get close to sales associates just for a chance to be offered the opportunity to buy one of the extravagant purses. The French luxury design house established in 1837 sells many accessories like scarves, footwear, and watches.

But it’s most known for its coveted Kelly and Birkin bags, which sell around $10K each but can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for the more elite designs.

Hermes’ most expensive bag is the Sac Bijou Birkin, which became public in 2012 as part of the Haute Bijouterie Collection and is crafted from rose gold and has over 2K diamonds on it. Just three of the bags were made at the time until it was re-released in 2019 and said to cost over $2million. It turns out Kylie isn’t the only Hollywood elite to love and own a Hermes bag. 

Famous YouTube Jeffree, 36, has numerous Birkin bags, and he keeps them stored in a pink vault made of 10K pounds of bulletproof stainless steel, locked with a fingerprint and retina scanner. 

“I have one of the biggest collections in the world. I was always told, Jeffree you’ll never have a Birkin, you’ll never be successful, and for some reason, certain things stick with you,” he once said of his Birkin bag while giving a tour of the pink vault. The most expensive handbag in his collection is the Hermes Niloticus Crocodile Himalaya Birkin, worth $379,200. He also owns a Hermes Diamond Birkin, which was previously auctioned for $150K.

Mariah Carey had all eyes on her in 2019 when she sported a $116K Birkin bag during a shopping trip.

In the year, the ‘All I Want For Christmas Singer’ was seen with her beau, Bryan Tanaka, in Aspen, Colorado, sporting a black leather jacket, long dark pants, and snow boots. She accessorized with a $955 Louis Vuitton scarf and the black Hermes Birkin bag. Mariah had previously been spotted holding on to a bright salmon-colored Birkin, which it turned out was gifted to her by boxer Floyd Mayweather.

29-Year-Old Cardi B left her fans stunned when she posted a photo on Instagram in which she flaunted her 26 different Birkin bags.

The snap from July 2021 showed numerous handbags ranging in size and color. One of the bags – the Birkin Cargo, is reported to have cost her upwards of $240K, with Page Six reporting that the multi-pocketed and multi-practical bag was inspired by military clothing. The outlet added that the leather and canvas design features five pockets on the outside and even a built-in cupholder. She had addressed people who asked her if her Birkin bags were real during an Instagram live, stating: “Y’all don’t do that to these white celebrities. So, why is it that y’all gotta be asking us?”

Victoria Beckham has many Birkin bags, and it’s been reported that her collection totals $2million.

The former Spice Girls singer bought her first Birkin in 2004 and has remained the brand fan. In 2007, the beauty had been spotted with the Ostrich leather Birkin during her husband, David Beckham’s official signing with the LA Galaxy soccer team, which is said to be worth $150K. She has also carried a $500K exotic crocodile skin Birkin, a white over-sized Hermes Kelly bag & the Himalayan Birkin.

During an episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Crystal Kung, 38, showed off her stunning Birkin bag, and it stole the show. 

The mini, brown purse with fake white windows and orange awnings sewed into it was said to have cost $95K. In an episode of the Kardashians in May, Khloe Kardashian flaunted her closet, and viewers noticed it was filled with bags, many of which were Hermes.

Reportedly, she had 25 of them, including five custom-painted ones. Back in 2019, Khloe had posted a snap of her daughter, True, posing with 14 Hermes handbags, but it garnered negative responses from her fans. Fortune at the time reported that the bags in the photo cost more than $160K in total, and some people were unhappy that she let her baby play with such expensive accessories.
