30 Pics Depict Power Of The Taal Volcano Which Just Erupted In The Philippines

As Australia is being destroyed by the ongoing uncontainable bushfires, the Philippines was also recently hit by a natural disaster. The Taal Volcano situated on the Big Island of Luzon flared up on January 12, 2020, sending ash and steam up to the sky.

With the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology alert level reaching Alert level 4, it’s believed that a dangerous explosive eruption might occur within hours to days.

Realizing this, the PHIVOLCS has ordered an emergency evacuation in the towns of San Nicolas, Balete, and Talisay in Batangas as well as within the shores of the Taal Lake.

Watching the scene in fear and terror, some residents within the area of occurrence was, however, able to take photos of the erupting volcano. The photos reveal the ash and smoke rising from the mouth of Taal reaching high up into the sky.

As a result of the eruption, the Manila International Airport Authority was persuaded to suspend all flights to and from. While figures aren’t stacked in the resident’s favor as severe explosive eruption might occur moments away, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported an estimated over 500,000 people are within the danger zone.
