Lying on social media has never been easier. These days, it’s so easy to appear as a completely different person virtually. We’re not saying that people can’t enjoy playing with filters for their selfies, but there isn’t a short list of people that use them way too excessively.
Dramatic filters are funny and all, but there are influencers that take them seriously and captioned themselves without a hint of a joke. This leads to impressionable followers that believe they’re real. It gets worse when even professional magazines edit their pictures as well.
Where do we draw the line? Perhaps you just don’t want to have your acne visible on your graduation or wedding pictures. And you just want a pretty picture from your vacation to post on Instagram. But where do we stop?
