The things you say online are likely to stay permanent there. Of course, social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow you to delete comments and posts when you feel like it. They also have features that stop selected people from seeing their latest posts.
But nothing will stop these people from sharing screenshots and telling people about them, mostly when something has gone so viral that it’s just impossible to take down every single one of them. If there’s consolation in the digital world, that would be how there are millions of other stupid statuses that people laugh at. Things get buried easily when there’s a new viral thing.
