On January 26th, heartbreaking news surfaced that a helicopter carrying a basketball legend, Kobe Bryant crashed into a hill in Southern California.
Following the crash, it was further confirmed that among the nine passengers who lost their lives was Kobe’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Gianna Bryant.
Heading to Bryant’s Youth Basketball Academy, the rest of the passengers onboard were Alyssa Altobelli, Gianna’s teammate, Alyssa’s parents John and Keri Altobelli as well as Coach Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Daughter – Payton Chester and Ara Zobayan, the pilot.
On hearing the news of the fatal accident, many celebrities have been posting tributes to Bryant’s career, legacy, and expressing condolences to Wife Vanessa and his three other daughters. Equally, they expressed their sympathies to the families of the other passengers.
‘He was a generous man with the wisdom he gained and saw it as his mission to share with the future generation of players. He takes special delight in passing down his love of the game to his daughter, Gianna.’ Adam Silver said in an NBA public statement.
