Xiaomi Unveils CC9 Pro With 108 MP Camera And They Might Have Just Won The Game
How much higher can they aim?
If you’re all about that camera, Xiaomi CC9 Pro has the best camera to date. Apple’s confidence in its cameras will have to be questioned again.
Xiaomi CC9 Pro is equipped with a 108 MP camera and that’s higher than Fujifilm’s GFX 100 medium camera format that can shoot 102 MP. Aside from that, it has 4 other rear cameras: 5-megapixel 5x telephoto, 12-megapixel 2x telephoto, 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera with big 1.75um pixels.

Xiaomi’s huge achievement was not without Samsung’s help in developing 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. It’s a pretty big sensor being 1/1.33-inch type.

There is one drawback, or more like limitations, with every other camera. Night photography renders users from using the full capacity of the camera. It has a tiny .8 pixel pitch and will operate its 27 MP mode, thanks to Samsung Tetracell technology.
But with enough light, you’ll be able to shoot billboard-level quality up to 4.24m high. It’s equipped with dual LEDs on the back for different kinds of lighting.

It’s also packed with a huge 5,260 mAh battery and a 6.47-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display. Inside is a Snapdragon 730G and 6GB or 8GB RAM depending on the model.
The model is selling in China at an affordable price of 2799 Yuan or about $400 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 3,099 yuan or about $440 for the 8GB RAM model. The Pro premium model sells at 3,499 yuan or about $500 with an 8P lens system, 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Xiaomi has also hinted that this phone will be sold internationally.
