Woman Says Her Attractive Looks Are A ‘Curse’
“One of the dumbest things to ever exist.”
A woman shares that “pretty privilege” isn’t real after living her whole life as an attractive woman. Shye Lee from Orlando, Florida, went on a rant on social media on how the “pretty girl curse” has made her lose friends and people don’t take her seriously.
The 29-year-old social media marketer tells people that it’s not easy living life as a pretty girl.
“Pretty girl privilege is one of the dumbest things to ever exist,” she started her complaint. “Let’s list the privileges.”
“Free drinks, probably free entry somewhere, maybe end up in a VIP section, maybe attract like a rich guy, like an athlete or rapper, but those are pretty much the privileges.”
“I’m concerned for whoever these are such glamorous privileges.”
She then jumped to the statistics, “Pretty women have a higher chance of getting kidnapped [or] dying. So if you’re a little bit more attractive you might get more eyeballs and increase your chances of getting kidnapped.”
“Pretty girls are never taken seriously at their job or anything that has to do with being well educated, by default they think that they’re not capable of understanding.”
“Business? Forget about it. One time I reached out to a doctor so I can help him with his social media and he literally wrote back, ‘You should come in for an exam, winky face.'”
Shye Lee owns the social media and business strategist company “7 Figure Creators” and often shares tips about appealing to the crowd on social media.
Outside her work, her personal relations have also taken a lot of hits, with some often screwing over her because she always ends up “looking like the mean one.” They “envy” her a lot and are often competitive with her.
She continued, “Guys staring and catcalling when you are literally just trying to go grocery shopping, and then they call you a b**** because you don’t want to talk to them.”
“So I don’t know, I’m patiently waiting to understand what is this privilege?”
Many told her that pretty already granting them more opportunities than others.
But so many people agreed with her when it comes to the daily issues that come with just being pretty.
So, is it a curse or not?
