Wife Appalled After Husband Bought $690 Suit Of Armor On eBay After Downing A Few Beers
Let’s introduce you to ‘Sir Squeak-a-lot.’
Don Ferrar visited eBay after drinking a few beers. During his hunt, he came across a $690 suit of armor, and since he loved the medieval outfit so much, he bid and luckily won it.
Don, 44, pieced together the shining knight outfit, and it now guards their living room.
In particular, the knight kit is dubbed ‘Sir Squeak-a-Lot,’ but so far, his wife Selina, 45, is furious because she has to dust and clean it very often. “It was a Saturday night, and Dom has had a few beers and was a bit merry. He’d initially put in a stupid bid and didn’t expect to win, but suddenly it was like, “You’ve won this auction.” Selina explained.
The knight kit is dubbed ‘Sir Squeak-a-Lot’ but Dom’s wife Selina, 45, is furious because she has to dust and clean it.
She continued: “Guys have certain things on their bucket lists, and he’d always wanted a suit of armor. After he won, he looked at me, and his face just lit up. He was like a kid.” According to The Sun, the suit of armor is believed to be a 150-Year-Old production worn on horsebacks by fighters.
“Dom’s quite lean and built like a whippet, so he fits it all right,” Selina said.
Dom, in an interview, said: “It’s always been on my bucket list. After sitting in a Dutch bar surrounded by armor, I was tempted to walk out with one.” Selina, his wife of 8years, added: “Honestly, it was worth it just for the look on his face and then the reality hit of where the hell are we going to put this thing?”
Selina and her husband Dom bought all the re-enactment extras, a headpiece, and a padded gilet to fit underneath.
“Its weight is incredible. Dom’s quite lean and built like a whippet, so he fits it all right. I don’t think many other people would be able to wear it. It was all in bits so putting it together was a big puzzle.” However, Selina claimed she and her husband Dom had to purchase all the re-enactment extras, a headpiece, and a padded gilet to fit underneath.
