The manager also reportedly told Edwards she would need to track down the customer to verify if the tip was actually legit. ‘You are going to tell me it’s my fault I didn’t get the information on a customer when they left and tipped me.’ Shikira said in tears.
She added: ‘I specifically don’t know who tipped me.’

In a press release, Shakira’s restaurant responded: ‘Denny’s is working tirelessly with our Banking/Credit Card Department to verify the guest as well as the large amount.’
It’s, however, unclear how long it will take the restaurant to track down the customer for final verification
The owner of the restaurant also gave a statement claiming Shakira has been spreading wrong information. The owner claimed he was told to revoke the transaction from the bill since they were unable to verify it.
