Video Shows Moment Kate Middleton Got ‘Ignored’ By Jamaican Beauty Queen Lisa Hanna
It might just be a simple misunderstanding!
On March 22nd, Prince Williams and Kate Middleton landed in Jamaica as they continued a royal tour of the Caribbean. The trip has mixed reactions and is seen as an attempt to discourage Caribbean nations from removing Queen Elizabeth as head of state, as happened in Barbados in 2021.
On their arrival, The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, was tenderly greeted by Jamaican MP and former Miss World Champion Lisa Hanna.

But then eagled-eye Twitter users in a now-viral clip [now-deleted] saw what appears to show Lisa abruptly tilting her head away from a laughing Kate, who then looked solemn and turned away herself.
While it literally can be a simple misunderstanding, some people strongly believed Lisa gave Kate the cold shoulder. One person tweeted: βLisa Hanna snubs Kate Middleton in protest of reparations. Sorry, Kate, but if you, William, Charlie of Lizzy canβt say sorry or talk bout de money you owe, donβt chat to me.β
Another commented: βMy heart must weak because the secondhand embarrassment just broke me.β Someone else fumed: βI know you support removing Royal Family but this is no way to treat guests. How would you feel if you was invited someone [SIC] and someone gave you the cold shoulder you wouldnβt like it would you? Thereβs no excuse for bad manners!β
Lisa, an MP for Saint Ann South East, has responded to news articles on the accusations and even shared images from the event online.
In her post, where she was seen smiling, Lisa described her time with Kate as βpleasantβ and added: βWe had a very interactive and pleasant conversation throughout the proceedings as we talked about family, our cultures and our people.β
Addressing the snub report, she also wrote on Twitter: “The global media frenzy which followed was deeply concerning, as at no time during our pleasant exchanges would I have needed to ‘shun’ her.

βThe world is interconnected, & what may seem like fun and games to one party can cause significant damage to people’s lives & reputations, especially when we position them as the protagonist to further manipulative agendas and readerships.β
βThere are too many global problems that have been caused by misinterpretation and an inability to understand the truth. And the truth, in this case, is that we had amicable interactions, and there was no negativity between us whatsoever.β She further insisted she has nothing but respect for Kate.
