Two-Year-Old Starved To Death After His Dad Died From Heart Attack At Their Home
The boy couldn’t “obtain any nourishment.”
David Conde Jr., a two-year-old boy, was found dead from starving in the same bedroom as his dad, 59. The “beautiful baby boy with curly lock” and his dad haven’t been seen around for around a week. The investigators told the reporters that they couldn’t find any trace of physical injuries on their bodies.
The father-and-son duo was found dead on February 15, reported by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. It wasn’t until recently that the cause of death was released.
The deputies announced the father’s cause to be of natural causes due to cardiovascular disease. With the dad gone, the son was left alone with no adult to care for and eventually died from starvation. The news release explained, “It is believed Mr. Conde passed away first and the child was not able to obtain any nourishment after his father passed.”
The little boy had just learned to walk after several surgeries and had to spend months in casts and rehabilitation due to a medical condition.
Another report continued to mention that the mother has not been in contact with the child and the dad received custody soon after he was born.
The case has been closed with the toddler’s obituary notes remembering him as a boy with “a determined smile and sweet disposition.”
Conde Jr. had six brothers and a sister, with his father survived by his mother Michelle Travers, and her partner Marshall Watson.
