TV Host Toasted With Champagne For Queen’s Death: “Old B***h Has Died”
He popped the bottle open with sandwiches in his other hand.
The death of the Queen has been a sad day for England, but not everyone drowns in sadness. Argentinian TV host Santiago Cúneo cheered with a bottle of champagne on air not long after her death was announced by the Royal Family at 6.30 pm.
The Buenos Aires-based politician was live on TV when Buckingham Palace announced Queen Elizabeth II’s death at 96.
The journalist went viral in a clip where he popped a bottle of champagne with white and blue balloons that represented the Argentina’s flag scattered around the stage. He poured himself a glass with finger sandwiches in his other hands.
“The old bag of s–t has died,” flashed on the chyron section. And he celebrated while saying, “the old b–ch has died.”
“She’s done for good. Loud applause for Satan who has finally taken her.”
He was just one among many within the Anti-British group in Argentina, one that started when the UK sent a naval task force to reconquer the Falkland Islands. It led to the 1982 Falklands War, as Argentines had already taken over the land.
Cúneo was also a journalist, but his controversial take and outburst had got him fired from the cable news channel Cronica TV.

He often spoke of many controversial theories, including anti-Semitic conspiracy theories where a Jewish state was being formed in Argentina and Chile.
But it was pretty evident that he was one-of-a-kind. A Twitter user replied, “I am Argentinian, and this guy doesn’t represent me. We are sorry for this loss.”
