‘Train To Busan’ Is Getting A Sequel, Titled ‘Peninsula’

It’s been set for a 2020 summer release.

‘Train to Busan’ is getting a sequel after 4 years of rumors. Director Yeon San-ho promises to bring a ‘more desperate and fierce’ battle to the screen. The sequel is titled ‘Bando’ or ‘Peninsula’ and is set for theatrical release in the summer of 2020.

Yeon says there won’t be returning actors from the first movie, not even Gong Yoo who was seen to have transformed into a zombie at the end of the first movie. But he has released the main cast of the movie.

Lee Jung Hyun and Kang Dong Won will be the main cast with strong personalities and will to survive. They will be leaders of the peninsula’s military units, both with their own reasons for doing what they do.

Added to the supporting cast are Lee Re, Kwon Hae Yo, and Kim Min Jae. All these actors and actresses have shown incredible talent in their previous works.

Meanwhile, Gary Dauberman has been set to write the script for the English version of ‘Train to Busan’ with James Wan producing the remake.
