“Any chance to up that to $50k?”

Jack Sweeney, a 19-year-old college freshman has gained fame for starting a social media account that allegedly tracks Elon Musk‘s private jet. But it’s been proven to be real and the teen has been offered a Tesla Model 3 to shut down the Twitter account.

But the boy had refused it in a series of Twitter replies with Scott Painter, the CEO of Autonomy.

It was offered as a three-year contract to the boy, who says he wants his “own car.”

“I want my own car. I don’t want to have to give it back in three years,” the 19-year-old spoke to WSJ. “If I got an actual Tesla, then I would take it down.”

After a tweet that shades back on the tracking account, Sweeney replied, “Good one. No, I just don’t want a subscription.”

The IT student has made over 15 Twitter bots now for “certain of interest planes” including Bill Gates’ and Jeff Bezos’ aerial transportation vehicles.

Elon Musk’s Jet is the account that tracks his private jet, the N628TS, and has the most followers, counting at over 367k right now.

Sweeney’s coding relies on public information, however, he manages to match the transponder frequencies with limited information on the planes’ schedule.

Musk had previously DMed the boy and asked him to take it down. He told him, “I don’t love the idea of being shot by a nutcase.”

He was also offered $5000, according to Protocol that first reported the boy’s endeavor, but he refused and replied, “Any chance to up that to $50k? It would be great support in college and would possibly allow me to get a car maybe even a Model 3.”

The boy has also asked to be allowed to inter for Tesla in exchange for deleting the account, but the CEO billionaire hasn’t replied so far.

The self-claimed “fan” was not offended with being ghosted and was, in fact, proud enough to be recognized by his idol. The two also exchanged some more as Musk asked how he got all his information. After learning that most of the information is public, the CEO called the air traffic control system “primitive.”

The most recent tracking shows that Musk has landed in Austin, Texas, after departing from LA at 5.50 pm on Wednesday.
