Teacher Disliked Seeing Boy, 11, Adopted By Two Dads, Got Fired By Three Girls
Three brave girls raised right.
It is so easy to see if a child has been raised right with loving parents. 11-year-old Daniel shares that he’s happy to have finally been adopted by two dads. When his teacher asked the class if they have anything to be thankful for because of the Thanksgiving spirit, this answer came out.
Instead of a cheer, the teacher went on to say that ‘That’s nothing to be thankful for.’
The story was shared by a local news reporter who shared how Louis van Amstel, the boy’s dad, felt crushed because it made Daniel think, ‘we don’t want to adopt him.’
On a cheerful note, the situation remained under control quickly as the teacher was escorted out of the school. After that, the school released a statement that she will never be allowed to teach there ever again.
There’s nothing more crushing for a newly adopted boy than thinking that he was probably unwanted.
Louis van Amstel is a professional ballroom dancer as well as a choreographer and has been married to his husband for three years. He appeared in ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ and Daniel is a boy that’s still in the middle of the adoption process.
He found out about the incident through the school’s administration. He shared about it on social media along with his thoughts. The reason Daniel did not speak up was that he feared he’ll going to be disliked by his dads and fail to get adopted again.
We’re having the same thought with this right now.
Louis van Amstel, shared his thoughts on Twitter, thanking the school’s firm and quick response as well as the 3 girls.
He continued to praise the three girls and met up with their parents to thank them as well. He was commending how the girls did not condone the teacher’s bullying attitude and even took the proper steps to stop it.
The thread continued with Twitter account erinscafe encouraging people to adopt. Of course, a lot of people share how beautiful adoption can be and share pictures of their little ones!
Statistics show that about 135,000 children were adopted in the US and more than half of them are from the foster system. Once the children age out of the foster care system, their chances of being successful adults out there is pretty slim, showing that it’s critical for children to grow up in a loving environment with supportive adults.
