Surgeon Penned Heartbreaking Message For Her Children If She Dies From Working On The Frontline
We’ll get through this. Together.
A surgeon from New York City decided to pen a personal message for her children as she works around the clock against Covid-19. Cornelia Griggs shares an alarming picture of herself in inadequate protective gear as she works non-stop caring for Covid-19 suspects and patients.

She wrote in her Facebook post, “My babies are too young to read this now. And they’d barely recognize me in my gear. But if they lose me to COVID I want them to know Mommy tried really hard to do her job.”
She also used the hashtag #GetMePPE which is a trending tag that medical workers are using to demand protective gear and equipment from the government. As anyone knows, our only soldiers to fight against the current pandemic are the doctors and nurses who need the gears.
Currently, they are running out of the necessary equipment from N95 masks to hazmat suits and ventilators to help patients with breathing problems. Doctors are making the sacrifices of not going home and isolating themselves from family to keep them safe.

The tweet has received over 9k beautiful, uplifting comments, 118.5k retweets and over 611k likes.

What Griggs was wearing is in start contrast to what Chinese doctors had to wear when they were combating Covid-19.
Griggs has been thanking everyone for their love and support. She recently updated us with a new tweet of her babies. We’re hopeful that she won’t just get out of this, but live long enough to see her babies with babies, happy and tell the story of when she was a superhero without cape.
