Influencer Elena Huelva Passed Away Aged Just 20
“These are very difficult days.”
Elena Huelva has passed away after bidding farewell to her followers. The 20-year-old has sadly lost her battle against a rare form of bone cancer, Ewing’s Sarcoma, which she was diagnosed with in 2016.
For six years, she’s been documenting her journey and sharing the ups and downs with her followers that’s almost reached one million.
She’s had multiple visits to the hospital since she was essentially a teenager, but in her final video, she spoke, “My life has not been in vain.”
As she held back tears, she revealed the fact that things weren’t going well and complications arose surrounding her respiratory system. She spoke, “They found more disease in my windpipe, which is very dangerous, as you know because that’s where we breathe.”
“I don’t need to say much more. I want to make it clear that I’ve already won.”
She continued, “I know that my life was not in vain, because I fought and got what I wanted.”
The Spanish influencer received uplifting words from celebrities from singer Manuel Carrasco to actress Ana Obregón who lost her son to the same condition.
And she has indeed as she never appeared to have stopped from letting herself enjoy her life and let her desires lead to wherever she felt like going. She’s even survived the covid last year.
Ewing’s Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer, found in less than 225 young people in the US, signified by joint pain at night, commonly found in children.
Elena spent her last Christmas with her family at home before returning back to her hospital room. Her final post before she passed away was one of her holding hands with her loved ones.
She shared, “Today I woke up not in the best way, in fact, nothing good, a big scare. These are very difficult days, they are becoming more and more complicated.”
“But as you know I am stronger, and more complicated! I want you to know that I already won, a long time ago. We continue, always.”
“My desires win.”
Not long after, her family shared an Instagram Story with a picture of Elena, “Since this morning, Elena dances and looks down at you from her star. Thank you for everything.”
