Sandra Bullock’s New Movie On Netflix Is Dubbed A ‘Must-Watch’
A woman who spent half a life in prison tries to find her long-lost sister.
Sandra Bullock has yet scored another Netflix hit with ‘The Unforgivable.’ The new drama flick stars the actress Ruth Slater, a woman who had just gotten out of the slam for murder looking for her sister.
Ruth was locked up for 20 years, separated from her little sister.
“Released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, Ruth Slater (Bullock) re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind,” the summary reads.
This two-hour movie is an adaptation of a 2009 series titled ‘Unforgiven’ that starred Suranne Jones and Will Mellor.
Aside from Bullock, the movie cast a range of talented actors and actresses like Vincent D’Onofrio, Viola Davis, Jon Bernthal, Richard Thomas, and W. Earl Brown.
Bullock shared that she decided to visit women who are serving their sentences to gain inspiration.
Meeting with these women got her eager as she decided to get a tattoo and learned something new about being a better parent to her daughter.
She told Extra, “One of my tattoos was in honor of one of the women that I got to interview that helped me with insight to my daughter. She, too, went through the foster care system and there was something that was similar and she said… ‘Oh, my God, that happened to me. That’s who I was.”
“I went there to get her story and I left there being a better parent because of the gift that she gave me.”
The actress, who’s also the producer of the movie, shared that the tattoo was a barbed wire with a butterfly on it.
As soon as the movie hits the streaming service (after a limited theatrical release in November), viewers were raving about the story.
