Samsung Hints Introducing Sam, The New Virtual Mobile Assistant And Fans Gone Crazy
Cheeky, gorgeous, and… rejected.
If you forgot or were never a Samsung user, yes, the big Korean brand has its own voice assistant already, Bixby. Apple has Siri, and some people have Amazon’s Alexa as their home assistant.
Introducing Samantha Samsung, cheerful, sociable mascot character Lightfarm worked with Samsung’s marketing agency, Cheil.

Pictures of her were suddenly going viral on the Internet, sending people on a whirlwind to whip out fanarts, cosplays, and edits of the girl. Sam instantly became a Twitter trend, with Reddit constantly sending out Rule34 memes of her.

While Sam finally got her 3D renders, she only stayed in Lightfarm archives until eventually deleted from the site.

You can’t find her on Lightfarm anymore, but don’t worry – the internet gotcha. She never took off in any of Samsung’s official ads and products. On the already deleted article of Sam’s latest update, the company wrote:
“Throughout the process, the team devoted itself to developing realistic materials, mainly for the character’s hair and clothing, so that Sam appeared aesthetically pleasing. Sam was an incredible partnership between the Cheil Agency and Lightfarm, and we are thrilled to be part of this project!”

Well, the internet is a very fast-paced place.

Cosplayers are also posing as her lately!

And the artists are getting way too excited with their fanarts.
