On realizing the tyre hasn’t still been removed, the Central Sulawesi’s Natural Resource Conservation Agency has launched a contest to free the creature.
Hasmuni Hasmar, the agency’s Chief didn’t, however, specify how much reward would be given, but revealed would come out of his personal pocket as the agency is presently strapped for cash.

While there have been previous unsuccessful attempts in freeing the crocodile, Muhammed Panji, a conservationist and animal whisperer attempted and failed in 2018
‘A reward will be given to anyone who can release this helpless reptile. We are asking the general public not to get too close to the crocodile or disturb its habitat.’ Mr Hasmar said emphasizing that amateurs should not risk themselves.

‘The creature is getting bigger. The tyre estimated for 14inches is stifling it already. If the tyre is not removed immediately, it might strangle the crocodile due to its growing body.’ An agency official explained.
