Rampaging Monkeys Kill 250 Dogs After Pups Killed One Of Their Infants In Village

Apes have been often said to be creatures closest to humans in terms of their intelligence. They’re (in)famous for their pranks and joker attitudes towards other lifeforms. Their complex social hierarchy is also a sign of their higher than most EQ and large brain.

Unfortunately, this also means they can launch a large-scale attack when cornered.

Recently, monkeys who are residing in Maharashtra’s Beed district have been going on a rampage, killing dogs one after another. Over 250 dogs have reportedly been killed after the monkeys dragged them to tall buildings to be dropped.

It appeared that they’re on a revenge streak after one of their infants was killed by dogs.

Lavool, a village with 5000 residents located 10 kilometers away from Majalgaon, has no pups left. Calling the department officials did not help as they couldn’t even catch a single one of the primates.

While the villagers tried to fight back, many have been injured from getting in a scuffle or hurting themselves from falling off buildings or trees.

Panic spreads as the monkeys have started targeting not only the pups lately but also children. An eight-year-old was reportedly attacked and even dragged away, prompting villagers to throw stones at the apes to fight back.
