Prince William ‘Simply Can’t Forgive’ Harry For The Way He Has Behaved, Royal Author Claims

It has emerged that the new Prince of Wales, William is unlikely to forgive his brother, Prince Harry, despite putting on a united match with the 38-Year-Old and his wife, Meghan Wife, during a walkabout in Windsor after the Queen’s death. A royal expert alleged the 40-Year-Old always thought his brother would be his wingman. 

In her book The New Royals – Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, Katie Nicholl pointed out that William is angered not just by Harry’s behavior but by how he’s done it. 

Nicholl addressed the division between the Sussexes and other members of the Royal Family after the couple stepped down as senior royals and began a new life in the US in 2020. She alleged that just by existing, she and Harry were upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy. Elsewhere, the author wrote that William and his wife Kate ultimately felt relief when Harry and Meghan moved to the US. 

“William simply can’t forgive [Harry], not just for his behavior and what’s he done and how he’s done it, but look at how much now rests on William,” Nicholl said on Dan Wootton Tonight. 

The author added: “He always thought Harry would be his wingman; now he’s doing it on his own. Thank goodness he’s got Kate by his side.” Nicholl stressed that the late Queen was hurt by Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down as senior members to move to the United States. She said in her book that a source claimed she didn’t like to think about the decision. 

An extract of the book, published in Vanity Fair, said the Queen was also heartbroken when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet in August. 

The source told the author: “[The Queen] was very hurt and told me, ‘I don’t know, I don’t care, and I don’t want to think about it anymore.” They added it was more regret to Her late Majesty that the Sussexes move meant she didn’t have the opportunity to see as much of Archie and Lilibet as she had liked. Despite the reported rift, there seems to be a glimpse of reconciliation. 

As the new monarch, the book claims King Charles is keen to heal the rift between the family and his youngest son. 

His Majesty had permitted Prince Harry, who served in Afghanistan, to wear his military uniform during a vigil along with the Queen’s other grandchildren, in which they guarded her coffin as it lay in state in Westminster Hall. However, Meghan, in her recent interview with The Cut Magazine, had said it takes a lot of effort to forgive and hinted she could say anything, in what some saw as a thinly-veiled threat.

Prince Harry is said to have written a tell-all-book on his life within the Royal Family. When it will be published remains unknown.
