Nurse Shares Pic Of Her Face Battered By Wearing Protective Gear For 13Hrs A Day

An Intensive Care Nurse has uploaded a photo of her battered face, bruised by wearing protective gear for 13hours a day in order to keep people indoors for the Easter celebration.

Aimee Goold from East Retford, Nottinghamshire shared a distressing photo on Facebook, which had since gone viral, garnering positive comments and thousands of likes.

Working at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital, Aimee admitted she had been working 65hour weeks amid the pandemic crisis as she urged people to recall her face when planning to go out this weekend.

The image displayed an exhausted Aimee in her uniform with red marks and welts around her nose and cheeks. In the viral post, Aimee described the photo as being the face of reality and as a visual representative of going through hell.

This is the face of someone who is proud to stand on the frontline with all key workers.

This is the face of someone who wants lockdown to end.

This is the face that is begging you, do NOT go out this Easter weekend.

This is the face that is begging you to abide by the social distancing rules.



This is the face of an ICU nurse that is begging you: to stay inside, protect us, protect the NHS and help us save lives.

She revealed how she hasn’t seen her loved one for almost a month while also putting her life on the line to save pandemic patients.

Vowing to continue fighting the pandemic from the frontline, Aimee tells of holding hands of dying patients as their relatives are unable to stay by their side.

Aimee described the photo as being the face of reality and as a visual representative of going through hell

‘This is the face of someone who will always carry on, regardless of anything.’ Aimee wrote. Longing for the nationwide lockdown, which has been for almost three weeks to come to an end, Aimee urged readers to abide to the social distancing rules.
